New to Colorado?

Whether you are a newly-graduated PA or are new to Colorado, we're glad you're here and CAPA is here to help you!

Step one is to join CAPA! CAPA is the only organization representing Colorado PAs, and is a constituent organization of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. We are here to serve you and hope you will join us!

Step two is to apply for your Colorado PA license through the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA):

You will need to establish a new account to submit a new licensure application.

Please note, Colorado does not issue temporary licenses. The Colorado Medical Board meets quarterly and recommend applying for a new Colorado license as soon as possible.

You will notice that there is a requirement to submit a Primary Physician Supervisor Registration Form to complete your licensure application. Note that you can complete the remainder of the requirements and then submit this form once you have a physician supervisory relationship established.
