About CAPA

CAPA is a constituent chapter of the American Academy of Physician Assistants The Colorado Academy of Physician Associates (CAPA) was established in 1976 to:
•    Promote the PA profession to Colorado's lay and medical community.
•    Offer community health education projects.
•    Offer continuing medical education for PAs.
•    Help ensure proper regulation and utilization of PAs in Colorado.

The Colorado Academy of Physician Associates is the voice of Colorado PAs. We are interested in your needs and work hard to supply you with the resources you need to stay informed. We hope this web site will be an aid to doing just that.


Governance

The CAPA Board of Directors is the governing body responsible for the Academy's administrative and financial management. The leadership year spans from July to July. Elections are held in the spring and are overseen by the Elections Committee.

Governing Documents

CAPA is governed by the most current Bylaws and Policies of the organization. An annual review of CAPA Policies is conducted by the Judicial Affairs committee, as well as relevant policy updates that are voted upon by the CAPA Board of Directors. Review of CAPA Bylaws are done on an annual basis and proposed changes are voted upon by CAPA membership in accordance with current Bylaws.
