After a successful 2010 Legislature, CAPA is pleased to announce the following changes which have been signed into law by Governor Ritter:

- PA on Board of Medical Examiners: A seat on the Colorado BME has now been designated specifically for a PA. Term of service is 4 years. The PA will be appointed by the Governor.
- PA Ownership in a Medical Practice: A PA may now own up to 49% of a medical practice within Colorado. A physician must always maintain majority ownership.
- Physician / PA Ratio: A physician may now supervise up to four full-time PAs. Previously it was two.
