Membership Categories

Please find a listing of CAPA Membership categories below:

• Fellow – A CAHEA or CAAHEP approved PA program graduate or NCCPA certified PA and an AAPA Fellow Member.
   
• Affiliate – A PA certified by the State of Colorado. Not an AAPA member.
   
• Sustaining – A PA who previously would have qualified for one of the other membership categories but has chosen not to actively practice as a PA.
   
• Supporting – A PA who meets the requirements for fellow membership, resides out of state, and is a fellow member of another state chapter.

• Student – The following makes a student eligible for student membership: 1) A person who is enrolled in a CAAHEP or CAHEA approved Physician Assistant training program 2) Must apply and pay on-line 3) One-time dues payment of $65 for students in Colorado PA programs - must be verified by program 4) One-time dues payment of $75 for students in non-Colorado PA programs - must be verified by program 5) Dues are non-refundable 6) All student memberships expire June 30th, your graduation year.

• Graduate - A person who joins (or renews membership with) CAPA in the same year he or she graduates from a CAAHEP- or CAHAE-approved PA training program.
   
• Associate – A military or Public Health Service PA who is active duty and a current fellow member of the Service Chapter. Also meets the criteria for a Fellow Member.
   
• Physician – A licensed physician.
